This morning around 9:30 a Giant Pacific Octopus was caught in some sand during the outgoing negative tides between Haystack Rock and the Needles. Haystack Rock Awareness Program stewards were quick to assist the sea creature and perform a rescue.

You can see the excitement, joy, and enthusiasm that the HRAP team has for protecting the creatures of the ocean and how they were swift to focus on assisting the octopus back to the deep water.
